CNC LATHE MACHINIST - DAY SHIFT
Hart Precision Machining is seeking CNC machinists to setup and run 2 axis lathes with Mazak and Fanuc controls on day shift. Machinists would be responsible for the set-up and running of parts across 8 CNC machines. Position would include high levels of responsibility, autonomy, and growth. Mazatrol and CAM Programming experience is highly desired, but not required. On-the-job and offsite programming training offered.
Hart is a low volume production, high precision machine shop. Typical jobs last between 8 days and 8 weeks and parts range between 4 to 24" diameter made from iron/steel forgings/castings and some bar stock. Typical tolerances are +/- 0.001" and each part is heavily processed undergoing between 3-8 operations including outside services. Your focus would be efficient setups and ensuring jobs are repeating with good tool life, as well as running parts yourself. Innovations are encouraged and regular interaction with management will ensure any ideas or improvements have an avenue for implementation.
This position is for individuals with prior machining experience only. You will be asked to take a test to proceed with the interview process. The test will review your knowledge of G + M code, as well as your ability to read a blue print. You may also be asked to show your knowledge of machine tool controls on the floor and solve real problems at the machine. Day shift runs from 6 AM to 4:30 PM.
