Job Overview:

CNC Lathe Machinist – 1st Shift

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist to join our growing team on 1st Shift. This position offers a stable full-time schedule, overtime opportunities, and a clean, air-conditioned work environment.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday

5:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Opportunity for overtime available

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and quality-focused manufacturing. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts that meet customer and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of production machining experience
  • CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of CNC terminology, machine settings, and maintenance
  • Understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Proficient use of standard metrology and inspection equipment
  • Ability to follow work instructions, routers, and travelers
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC Lathe setup and operation experience
  • CAM software experience
  • General mechanical knowledge
  • Programming experience at the machine panel or through CAM software

Responsibilities

  • Machine parts according to specifications and blueprints
  • Select proper tooling and perform machine setups
  • Conduct pre-inspection, first-piece inspection, and in-process inspections
  • Maintain accurate setup and cycle time records
  • Deburr, clean, and prepare finished parts for the next operation
  • Identify and report non-conforming products to Quality
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support production goals
  • Provide feedback regarding documentation, routing, BOMs, or print discrepancies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations
