**CNC Machinist (Day Shift, M-F) **

Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining Mazak CNC machines, programming using Mazatrol, and ensuring the production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Mazak machine tools, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve machining issues. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled machinist to contribute to the success of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Mazak CNC machines (Milling/Turning centers) to produce high-precision parts according to specifications and drawings.
Set up machines and tools, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and safety procedures are followed.
Program Mazatrol controls for efficient and accurate machining processes, including adjusting offsets and tool changes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine job requirements.
Monitor machine operations and performance to identify and resolve issues related to speed, feed rates, and tooling.
Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functionality and avoid production delays.
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve production processes and troubleshoot any machining challenges.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and company policies.
Document production processes, changes, and improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating Mazak machines (Mazak Mill-Turn, Mazak Horizontal/Vertical Mills, or Mazak Lathes).
Strong knowledge of Mazatrol programming (including programming, editing, and troubleshooting).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficient with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
Familiarity with machine setup, tooling, and adjustments for optimal performance.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional machining certifications are a plus (e.g., CNC Machining, Tooling, etc.).
