Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machine Operator for our client near Decatur, AL. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines

• Load parts, cycle machines, and monitor machine performance

• Detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools

• Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sandblasting

• Read and interpret blueprints and follow routers

• Use calipers and measuring tools to inspect finished parts

• Maintain quality and safety standards at all times

• Work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives, and lubricants as required

• Update production records and complete necessary paperwork

• Maintain a clean and organized work area; perform preventative maintenance

Requirements

• Experience operating a Mazak Vertical Milling Machine (required)

• High School Diploma/GED or technical school graduate

• Minimum 2 years of Lathe machine shop experience

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure (assessment required)

• Ability to read drawings and perform basic math calculations

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work occasional overtime

• Steel-toe boots required

• Must pass background and drug screening

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
