Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-orientedLaser Machine Operatorto join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely operating laser cutting equipment, moving materials to and from the machine, performing quality inspections, and ensuring finished products meet established specifications.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and able to read blueprints and accurately use precision measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely set up and operate laser cutting equipment according to production requirements.
  • Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products to and from the laser machine.
  • Monitor machine operation and make basic adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production and quality issues and communicate problems to the supervisor.
  • Perform in-process and final quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Complete inspection reports and required production documentation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Identify defective materials or questionable conditions and report them promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production guidelines.
  • Wear required PPE, including steel-toe safety boots.
  • Work effectively with supervisors and team members to maintain production flow.
  • Follow Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and documentation requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and overall production and quality goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous laser machine, CNC, fabrication, or industrial machine operation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to safely handle and move materials.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy machinery.
