**Job Description:

The CNC Laser Operator is a skilled fabrication professional responsible for independently setting up and operating fiber optic CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-precision metal components. This role requires expertise in interpreting complex technical drawings, understanding material properties, and selecting optimal cutting strategies for fiber optic laser applications to maximize efficiency and part quality. The operator aligns and secures raw materials, monitors machine performance, and performs routine maintenance, while proactively identifying and resolving issues such as material inconsistencies, tool wear, or process deviations. While occasional work on CO₂ laser machines may be required, the primary focus is on fiber optic laser operation. Success in this role demands strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent accuracy, throughput, and safety standards.

**Required skills and Experience:

Minimum 5 Years Experience operating fiber optic CNC laser
Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
Material knowledge (i.e. steel, aluminum, stainless)
Experience performing routine maintenance and inspections on CNC laser equipment
Interpreting measurement tools (calipers, tape measure)
Able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, walk, bend, twist and squatting
Able to work in hot and cold environments
Ability to work independently including decision making with minimum supervision
