Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Produce small order parts in a JOB SHOP environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with horizontal milling machines.
• Proven experience in a JOB SHOP environment where each part is different
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
