Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centers to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with horizontal machining centers.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, Mastercam and G-code.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience with large part machining
