The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced CNC Group Lead and backup Setup Technician to join our BarSplice team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC operator who is ready to take on more responsibility and leadership while remaining hands-on with CNC equipment.


Your primary responsibility will be serving as a Group Lead, helping guide your team, keep production moving, troubleshoot problems, and support daily operations. You’ll also serve as a backup Setup Technician, giving you the opportunity to continue using and expanding your technical CNC skills. This position is ideal for someone who has strong CNC experience and wants to grow into a larger role within a growing manufacturing company.


What You’ll Do as a CNC Group Lead

  • Lead and support a CNC production group to help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
  • Provide direction, assistance, and technical support to CNC operators.
  • Help troubleshoot equipment, tooling, quality, and production issues.
  • Serve as a backup CNC Setup Technician when needed.
  • Set up and support single-spindle and dual-spindle CNC machines.
  • Machine tooling, and offset adjustments as needed.
  • Assist with changeovers and ensure equipment is properly prepared for production.
  • Help train and develop team members.
  • Communicate production concerns and opportunities to supervisors and management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Work with maintenance, quality, engineering, and production leadership to resolve issues.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • CNC machining experience.
  • Experience working with single-spindle and dual-spindle CNC machines.
  • CNC setup experience.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability  to read blueprints and understand machining requirements.
  • Ability to make tooling, offset, and machine adjustments.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Someone who takes ownership and can help keep a team moving forward.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and willing to continue learning.
  • Previous lead experience is a plus, but we’re willing to develop the right experienced CNC operator into the role.
