Job Overview:

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Applications Engineer to join our team at our facility in Germantown, WI, 53022. As a CNC Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the operation and programming of CNC machines. You will work closely with our manufacturing team to optimize processes and ensure the highest quality standards are met. If you have a strong background in CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and a passion for problem-solving, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and training to machinists on the operation and programming of CNC machines, including Boring Mill, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, CNC Vertical Lathe and 5-axis turn/mill.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and optimize CNC machining processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software, such as Mastercam, Powermill and Solidworks, to create and modify CNC programs.
  • Design workholding fixtures for new projects.
  • Lead capital acquisition projects
  • Utilize ERP software for job tracking and documentation.
  • Assist Engineering to research, develop and implement new tooling & workholding fixtures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+yrs experience in CNC programming.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and CAM software.
  • Strong knowledge of G-Code and GD&T.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in design for manufacturability & cost effectiveness
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong shop math skills.
  • Manufacturing process development experience.
