  • Develop and maintain applications and systems for CNC automation, manufacturing efficiency, and web-based reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle Database queries and procedures for manufacturing automation.
  • Train CNC programming personnel.
  • Drive improvement of workflow and program quality to fabrication to support plant goals.
  • Lead improvement of steel utilization, and produce a documented reduction in scrap.
  • Communicate with purchasing to optimize usage of consignment steel.
  • May assist in developing standard production nests for product rollouts.
  • Develop policies, procedures, training manual, and standard work instructions for CNC.
  • Understand and be able to perform all daily nesting functions of CNC Programmer.
  • Be able to provide support to 24/7 fabrication department.
  • Collaborate with engineering to drive design for Salvagnini / fabrication capabilities and performance improvements.
  • Knowledgeable in the operations of the punch/shear and panel bender process and be able to trouble shoot processing issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve process flow procedures and automation.
  • Act as CNC liaison for Kaizen, problem-solving and continuous improvement teams.
  • Work with IT and vendors to perform systems upgrades and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support multiple manufacturing locations with regular travel required to sites


  • Fundamental understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Ability to think spatially and creatively at an advanced level.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and CAM software.
  • Must display good organization and communication skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Technology or related field is required
  • Programming experience in an object-oriented language is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Modeling, Excel and CNC programming is preferred.
  • Experience in web page development is preferred.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating system administration is preferred.
  • Professional work experience in a related field preferred.


  • General office environment with frequent time spent on the plant floor
