Job Overview:

Job Title: CMM Programmer – Level II

**Department: Quality **

**Classification: Non-Exempt **

**Reports To: Quality Control Lead **

Summary/Objective:

The CMM Programmer Level II is a full time, nonexempt hourly position, and reports to the Quality Control Manager. In general, the CMM Programmer is responsible for creating new semi-complex programs and verifying the program inspects the features described on the In-Process Inspection Sheet (IPI’s) based on new part introduction and or part revision changes during the manufacturing process of aerospace products. Review existing programs to verify hardware being inspected is compliant to the requirements and make edits if required.

Essential Functions:

  • Create Semi-Complex CMM Inspection programs using PC-DMIS of semi-complex parts.

  • Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of GD&T usage and application.

  • A clear knowledge of multiple specification interpretation. (MIL, SAE…)

  • Clear concept of blueprint reading.

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision to complete programming tasks based on scheduling.

  • Review customer drawings, operational sketches and associated in-process inspection documents for required specifications.

  • Assist with identification and segregation of rejected products or materials.

  • Identify process improvements.

  • Identify and correct any potential FOD related items.

  • Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Skilled using measuring equipment, such as Manual CMM, DCC CMM, Optical Comparators, Vision Systems, scales, calipers, micrometers, hand tools.

  • Must have strong PC-DMIS & CMM Manager software knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

  • Ability to work from engineering drawings/specs, engineering change notices or established operating procedures.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position does not supervise others.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three+ (3) years in Aerospace Manufacturing environment preferred. AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Must have GD&T Certificate
  • High school diploma or GED

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm.
