Key Responsibilities

Hartzell Propeller Inc. seeks a CMM Programmer for current products and new product development utilizing Pc-DMIS software to ensure parts meet quality specifications. 


Key Deliverables of the Position

1) Create CMM programs that meet print requirements 

2) Maintain schedule for CMM programs to correspond with production requirements

3) Verify CMM programs are accurate and repeatable


Examples of Daily Activities

1) Program off-line with CAD models

2) On-line programming with and without CAD models

3) Maintain and update existing CMM programs

4) Troubleshoot inspection problems on production floor

5) Partner with the CNC programmers to create manufacturing processes

6) Support training of the CMM operator

7) Coordinate service, support and new equipment from CMM vendors

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

Qualified candidate should have five (5) years of experience in inspection/quality and 1-3 years of CMM programming experience, preferably PC-DMIS.


Required Technical Competencies

1) CMM programming experience utilizing PC-DMIS

2) Excellent blueprint reading skills

3) Understanding of GD&T

4) Proficient computer skills (MS-Office)

5) Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desired Technical Competencies

1) Experience with Solid Works software

2) Experience with mechanical inspection

3) Experience with inspection planning

4) Strong math skills (geometry, trigonometry, algebra)

5) Experience with point clouds and Inspections Arms
