Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute CMM programs for various components and assemblies.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.

  • Analyze measurement data and provide detailed reports on findings.

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing team to ensure part quality; collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes.

  • Train and mentor junior staff on CMM programming and operation.

  • Identify and troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

  • Perform 1st

    piece inspections on new and legacy components.

  • Ability to complete AS9100D First Article inspection reports.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of CMM operation including programming, preferably with PCDIMS and Modus systems.
  • Familiarity with the AS9100D standards.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to follow inspection processes utilizing inspection equipment, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, comparator, height gages, dial bore gages, thread gages, micrometers, verniers, etc.
