CMM Operator / ProgrammerLocation: Southwick, MAJob Type: Full-TimePay Range: $26.10 – $37.00 per hourPosition SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CMM Operator / Programmer to support quality inspection operations within a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment, inspecting manufactured parts, and creating or editing CMM programs to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.The ideal candidate will have experience with CMM inspection software, strong blueprint and GD&T knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across production and quality teams.ResponsibilitiesOperate CMM equipment to inspect and measure manufactured partsEnsure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standardsWrite and edit CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS or CalypsoInterpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical documentationCorrelate CMM inspection data with hand inspection tools and surface plate inspectionsPerform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipmentDocument inspection results and report discrepancies to quality or engineering personnelCollaborate with machine operators, programmers, quality personnel, and management to ensure product qualityTroubleshoot quality issues and assist with corrective actionsMaintain compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards, including documentation, traceability, and revision controlFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 6S standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferredMinimum 3 years of CMM operation experienceExperience using CMM software such as PC-DMIS or CalypsoProficiency using inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and indicatorsStrong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&TStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actionsStrong computer skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalGood mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilityStrong time management skillsAbility to pass an annual eye exam administered by a licensed optometristPhysical RequirementsAbility to read customer and production documents with or without corrective lensesAbility to lift up to 30 pounds as neededAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, and sit for extended periodsWhy Join UsCompetitive payStable full-time opportunityDirect hire with insurance, PTO, and 401k benefitsCollaborative manufacturing environmentOpportunity to work with advanced inspection technologyFocus on quality, precision, and continuous improvementApply TodayIf you are an experienced CMM Operator / Programmer looking to grow your career in precision manufacturing, we encourage you to apply today.
