The CMM Engineer works under the direction of quality management with minimum supervision. Is responsible for CMM machine programming, training, and associated preventative/reactive maintenance.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, and 5+ years of CMM programming experience or
Associate’s degree in related field, and 10+ years of CMM programming experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles
Proficiency in CMM software, Calypso, PC-DMIS, PowerInspect preferred
Expertise in CMM programming and operation
Familiarity with CNC programming and machine shop operations
Must be able to read complex blueprints, technical drawings, bills of material, assembly instructions
Ability to use measuring equipment - calipers, height gauges, micrometers etc.
Ability to work hands on within the production environment
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks)
Collaborative approach to problem-solving, fostering teamwork across departments
Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies
