The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud engineering and operations – along with a desire and potential to move into cybersecurity risk management and control assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive assessments of cloud technologies and processes – incorporating both automated and manual assessments.
  • Guide developers and project managers through internal compliance processes and help them get the most out of cloud capabilities (such as inheritable controls and continuous compliance).
  • Independently execute plans and achieve improvement objectives.

Experience/Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Goal orientation with the ability to collaborate with team members to achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to determine the right level of rigor and inspection for different assessments.
  • A strong operational or engineering background in cloud environments.
  • At least a basic understanding (or a high potential to learn) cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Experience assessing cloud technologies or security controls to internal policy or external standards (such as NIST 800-171)

Should Have:

  • Experience with IT automation (e.g., scripting, environment creation, desired state configuration).
  • Proficiency working with Agile and DevOps tools and methodologies.

Education:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Preferred Qualification:

  • CISSP
  • CISA
