Stanley Consultants is seeking a highly energetic, entrepreneurial and inspirational leader, who enjoys working in a team environment to lead the strategic growth of our Industrial Water business, with business development ownership and project delivery input for existing and new water/wastewater clients; focusing on process and EI&C design services, asset management/operations and potential digital water transformation. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the industrial water market, understand industrial utility asset integration and operations, and have a firm grasp of emerging innovations and technologies that can elevate our standing as the preferred consultant of our clients. This role will primarily focus on leveraging and reinvigorating the existing team and bringing refreshed ideas and client focus aligned to our enterprise strategic growth strategies. The successful candidate will enjoy the initiation, development, and maintenance of close client and staff relationships; support and feedback from the water market management team, the delivery and management of water projects; the execution of creative approaches to project development; personal dedication to serving client needs and developing sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible and accountable for Industrial Water market strategic and profitable growth year-on-year, with aligned incentives and key performance indicators, aligned to enterprise and water market strategies
  • The initiation, development, and transformation of new and existing close client relationships via exceptional account development nurturing.
  • Assists in developing strategic plans for key target clients including identification of and positioning for key project opportunities and pursuits
  • Manages and tracks the execution of that account growth plan
  • Leverages internal technical experts to gain footholds with new clients via exceptional team collaboration and coordination
  • Leads the strategic methodology and preparation of proposals, presentations, and profitable contract negotiations
  • Maintains exceptional Client relations and participates in project delivery as required
  • Actively participates in professional organizations at the local, regional, and national levels
  • Develops creative and innovative approaches to project delivery & development
  • Develops a network of connections and regional expertise to expand our market-share and elevate our brand within defined territory

Background Requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in water science/engineering or applicable technical field; Master of Science preferred, but not required
  • Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant BD experience in a water engineering or related industrial environment, including understanding of client services management and business development
  • Extensive experience in the industrial water sector
  • The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with clients in the industrial water sector
