Responsibilities
2.1 Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and: · The Global Operating System Plays; · ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard; · IATF 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards. 2.2 Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors. 2.3 Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy. 2.4 Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements. · Maintain department 5S requirements. 2.5 Assist with the execution of physical inventory, perform location auditing and reporting 2.6 Perform cycle counts and inventory verification in warehouse setting. Must be able to evaluate WIP and raw counts and perform root cause analysis 2.7 Assist Buyers, Planners and Material Handling with material flow systems with a focus on continuous improvement within the supply 2.8 Perform backup function of Shipping/Receiving Clerk and Supervisor during absenteeism or vacation. 2.9 Perform various inventory control assignments as required
Qualifications
4.1 Essential Skills · Reading: 5 · Document Use: 3 · Numeracy: 3 4.2 Ability to read lists of products, stock numbers, quantities and prices. Refer to schedules to locate times that trucks will be making deliveries. 4.3 Excellent communication skills and above average analytical and problem solving skills. 4.4 Ability to determine material status in terms of transfers, receiving, work in process and back-flushing. 4.5 Ability to understand Bill of Materials and “where used” analysis 4.6 Ability to understand production schedules 4.7 Strong inventory control and stock keeping capabilities. May be short term planning to make sure regular tasks are completed. Plan to ensure that supplies are always on hand. 4.8 Ability to read and understand engineering drawings for the purpose of material identification 4.9 Ability to work independently with the ability to prioritize and multi task in this fast paced environment. 4.10 Ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Send e-mail messages to other departments as needed. 4.11 Keep up to date on changes in computer technology and with changes in different tools and materials used for production. 4.12 Forklift certification 5.1 Stooping, kneeling, crouching, visual activity 5.2 Climbing, reaching, walking, grasping 5.3 Pulling, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs. 5.4 Extreme temperatures and noise 5.5 Atmospheric conditions
