We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Class A Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our transportation team. This position involves operating tractor-trailers across long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight to various destinations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive driving experience, a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, and the ability to handle diverse cargo types, including dryvan, and other specialized loads. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient logistics operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.DutiesOperate Class A tractor-trailers across regional and national routes, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.Transport a variety of cargo types including refrigerated goods, and freight requiring specialized handling.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo documentation in accordance with federal regulations.Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while minimizing fuel consumption and operational costs.Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road.Assist with load securing and ensure cargo is transported safely without damage or loss.Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.Support team efforts by providing excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
