A phenomenal opportunity exists to join our Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) & Mature Commercial Engines (MCE) Warranty team in the role of Customer Manager at our East Hartford, CT Campus, currently working in a hybrid work environment.

The GTF & MCE Warranty business, which is part of the GTF Engines organization, continues to grow in scope and visibility in line with Pratt & Whitney's GTF engine production, delivery ramp, and increasing aftermarket demands. GTF & MCE Warranty also continues to support all MCE models. This is a unique opportunity at Pratt & Whitney to gain direct customer experience on all commercial products across all phases of the engine life cycle with a unique perspective into the combined P&L: New engine Service Policy, guarantees related to reliability, performance, durability, and cost, and non-contractual support and at the same time play a big part in overall customer satisfaction.

As the Claims Principal Specialist, reporting directly to the Director, your leadership role is essential for the operations of our CE Warranty group.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • You will be the primary owner managing the claims process from start to finish across multiple engine models including direct airline customer interaction
  • You will own the ongoing customer communications strategy and implementation for our new claims management system and the next phase of enhancements in 2023+
  • You will support other DT initiatives such as our contract assessment and guarantee exposure (CAGE) tool, providing a world-class GTF/MCE customer experience and improving our overall efficiency
  • You will provide supplemental support managing all stages of new support program development including Program Office / CFT alignment, financial assessment, approval coordination, and implementation
  • You will assist the Finance Manager with monthly reporting and data analysis related to our cost reduction initiatives and quarterly reserve adequacy review
  • You will own the market feedback analysis (MFA) process for Warranty, including periodic data review and corrective action plans


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or other related field

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Person status is a requirement
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with bachelor’s degree or 3 years work experience with advanced degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience for processing claims, data reporting, and analysis
  • Digital technology project management
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Team focused to achieve the organizational objectives
  • Superior analytical problem-solving skills – ambitious, dedicated, and solution-oriented
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Can collaborate across all functions within the CE Warranty team and across the CE organization, including executive leadership
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Focused on delivering on-time results with quality
  • Can prioritize projects and/or competing tasks
  • Can work efficiently within Microsoft Office 365 products: Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Basic engine operation, overhaul and/or fleet management skills
