Basic Function:

Control and maintain chill usage, inventories, and request purchasing needs. Initiate and implement 6-S and continuous improvements of chill area. Available as back-up to perform as coremaking operator. 

Physical Requirements:

Maximum Lift Weight 50 lbs 

Maximum Push/Pull Weight 150 lbs

% Of Time Sitting 5% 

% Of Time Standing 95%

Exposed to Severe Weather Conditions: No

General Responsibilities:

1. Accurate scanning in and out on jobs and the proper reporting of processed quantities.
2. Wear proper safety equipment; keep work area clean and safe at all times.
3. Understand customer requirements, our companies internal scrap challenges, rework, customer returns, the impact they have on your job and demonstrate ability to deliver quality & efficient workmanship.
4. Review & inspect all material being used, building self-inspection into everything you make/process.
5. Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information.
6. Perform job tasks in an efficient manner according to given standards.
7. Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate management.
8. Facilitate foundry projects as assigned by management.
9. Perform coremaking operator functions when back-up is needed.
10. Initiate 5 S and continuous improvements within the areas of chills and sand testing.

Chill Program Responsibilities:

1. Organize, sort, store, request purchase of chills and chill pattern program
2. Maintain needed inventory, evaluate chill condition, quantity, and chill distribution; work with supervision to purchase chills; scrap non-useable material
3. Ensure purchase and readiness of chill availability especially with new patterns and chills
4. Assemble chill kits supporting Airset in efficient production
