We are now looking for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) who will be instrumental in leading and implementing our IT goals and strategies, ensuring that our global information technology is best in class.

The CIO (m/f/d) will report directly to the Executive Vice President Operational Services and will oversee the global IT department within the organization with the goal of maintaining and improving the organization’s internal technology processes. Ensuring that the technological functionality supports the overall strategic vision of the organization, the future CIO will closely liaise and collaborate with business functions, further establishing IT as a true business partner.

We believe that you have an experience as CIO or similar managerial role in a globally operating organization and are comfortable in operating and maneuvering in a matrix environment. We see that you have a track record in the Health Care Industry (Medical devices, Pharma, Life Science) or in similar highly regulated industries and/or experiences in other high-tech industries.

As CIO your general responsibilities will include

  • Operational and strategic responsibility for the IT department
  • Planning, deploying and maintaining IT systems and operations
  • Managing the organization's software development needs
  • Developing and enforcing IT best practices across the organization
  • Creating strategies for career succession planning, teaming and digitalization transformation

Qualifications for the role

Apart from the above we think you are strong in the following areas:

  • Experience in leading direct reports and ensuring successful collaboration with teams both locally and remotely across multiple countries and cultures
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Experience in digital transformation is considered an asset
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • A strong strategic and business mindset
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communicator with exceptional collaboration skills
  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred
