Job Overview:

Summary

The Chick Process and Delivery Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient processing and delivery of chicks from the hatchery to various farms. This position involves coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and overseeing the transportation process to maintain the health and safety of the chicks during processing and transit. The coordinator will work closely with hatchery management, staff, drivers, and the farms to ensure that all deliveries meet quality standards and are executed smoothly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports Allen Harim’s vision, mission and values
  • Coordinate and schedule chick processing and deliveries based on demand and inventory levels.
  • Keep chick processing running smooth
  • Communicate with hatchery staff to ensure the availability and readiness of chicks for delivery.
  • Verify chick counts and quality before loading
  • Oversee the transportation process, ensuring that all health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of process and delivery, including hatch and bookout sheets, box counts, load sheets, parent details disclosures, and chick tickets, as well tracking and reporting any issues that arise.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in logistics or delivery coordination.

Knowledge/Skills

  • MS Office skills-Basic 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must possess strong problem resolution skills.
  • Must be able to deliver business results under pressure while championing performance improvement 
  • Must have expert customer service skills with a focus on problem resolution to complex issues.
