Pay Rate: $20 - 24/hr
Job Summary:
Supports all functions of the Sample Laboratory through the preparation, packaging, shipment, and inventory management of customer samples. This entry-level position requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn multiple processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
The individual will be trained across all Sample Lab functions and will assist with compounding flavors, operating sample-processing equipment, coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and supporting general laboratory operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Learn and perform all Sample Lab functions safely and accurately.
- Compound flavor samples according to approved formulations and work instructions.
- Prepare, package, and ship customer samples in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Operate Sample Lab equipment, including spray dryers and related processing equipment.
- Perform inventory-control activities, including receiving, stocking, cycle counting, and material replenishment.
- Coordinate transportation of materials and samples between North and South facilities.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, efficient, and audit-ready laboratory environment.
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn multiple job functions and adapt to changing priorities.
