Position Overview
Our client, an innovative manufacturer serving high-tech industries, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research & Development Laboratory Technician to join their growing team. This individual will support research and product development efforts by conducting laboratory experiments, assisting with product testing, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with technical teams to develop and improve specialty chemical products. Key Responsibilities
Research & Product Development
- Conduct laboratory experiments under the direction of senior technical staff.
- Assist with product demonstrations and application testing.
- Support the development of new formulations and optimization of existing products.
- Perform testing to evaluate product performance and process improvements.
Laboratory Operations
- Operate laboratory equipment and analytical instruments safely and accurately.
- Perform quality control testing on products using specialized testing equipment.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, chemical supplies, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and compliance with all safety procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately record experimental procedures, test results, and observations.
- Maintain organized laboratory notebooks and technical documentation.
- Prepare reports summarizing findings and communicate results to the technical team.
- Assist with maintaining records to support ongoing research and development activities.
Collaboration
- Work closely with research, development, and applications teams to support new product initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers when necessary.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to support product commercialization.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree in Chemistry or another science-related field required.
Experience
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Experience working with chemical formulations or industrial processes is a plus.
- Electroplating or metal finishing experience is highly desirable but not required.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of basic chemistry principles and laboratory practices.
- Experience using laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
