Job Description

The Chemical Production Operator is responsible for overseeing the production of chemical products, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed throughout the manufacturing process. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the operator loads chemicals (liquids or powders) into mixers according to manufacturing instructions, monitors and maintains equipment, and transfers liquid products into appropriate containers such as 1000-liter tanks, barrels, or boilers. The operator is also responsible for labeling containers and cleaning equipment after use. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure chemical products meet quality and quantity standards.

• Check and prepare containers, equipment, and ingredients by moving, weighing, and loading them into mixers, following manufacturing instructions (mixing time, heating, cooling).

• Sample finished products and deliver samples to the lab for testing, making necessary adjustments as required.

• Label and package products, and decontaminate tanks as needed.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the manufacturing process to ensure smooth production.

• Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance.

• Drive a forklift for material handling and transport.

• Communicate with team members to ensure production goals are met and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiency and product quality.

• Assist in the development of new products and processes, and perform other duties as required by management.
