Position Overview

Seeking a Plant Operator with hands-on chemical mixing, paint manufacturing, or chemical plant experience to support batch production, equipment operation, material handling, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Blend/mix batches according to formulas and production specifications.
• Perform material loading, pre-mixing, filling, filtering, labeling, and batch adjustments.
• Operate production equipment including fillers, labelers, air pumps, dispersers, mixers, scales, and related equipment.
• Monitor equipment and troubleshoot routine production/process issues.
• Operate powered material handling equipment and load/unload materials and bulk tank wagons.
• Perform quality checks, sampling, documentation, and batch records.
• Follow SOPs and all safety/environmental procedures; maintain a clean work area and use required PPE, including respiratory protection.
• Support production, warehouse, and distribution activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Chemical mixing, paint manufacturing, or chemical plant experience is required.
• Basic computer skills and strong math/problem-solving abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow formulas, batch calculations, and written SOPs.
• Ability to work with weights, gallons, pints, and ounces.
• Ability to pass interview, background check, drug screen, and physical examination.

Preferred

• 5+ years of chemical plant, coatings, paint manufacturing, or batch-making experience.
• Industrial production equipment/mixing system experience.

Schedule

• Must be available to work at least 2 weekends per month.
• Rotating shifts and overtime may be required.
