Job Overview:

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a stable, well-established manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting industrial equipment, solving mechanical and electrical issues, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is approximately 70% mechanical and 30% electrical, with a strong emphasis on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and minimizing production downtime.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
  • Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled equipment (programming not required)
  • Work with motors, VFDs, starters, relays, contactors, and electrical systems up to 480V
  • Repair conveyors, mixers, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and related production equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Perform root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all plant safety requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled equipment
  • Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
  • Experience with conveyors, mixers, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Forklift and scissor lift experience
  • Basic pipefitting experience
  • GMP manufacturing experience (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, etc.)

Work Environment

This position is located in a GMP manufacturing facility. Employees are provided with the necessary tools and are required to wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed boots, hearing protection, respirators, and additional protective equipment when required.
