Job Overview:

Reports to: Foreman, Chemicals

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for developing and implementing an appropriate chemical treatment program across the Company’s entire operating asset. The position will coordinate chemical vendors and Civitas field staff to ensure that proper treatments are administered and follow up testing occurs. They will help to provide oversight and occasionally assist with testing and monitoring of the program on a routine basis. The Coordinator will collaborate with many internal groups including Production Operations, Production Engineering, Drilling & Completion Operations, and Procurement. They will also maintain strong relationships with service providers and set expectations while holding parties accountable to results. This role will assist in driving the Company’s environmental, health, safety and regulatory compliance (EHS&RC) efforts and is expected to work very closely with EHS&RC team and individuals in every aspect of the operations. The person in this role is expected to have very strong communication and decision making skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing chemical companies inventories, and deliveries to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Performing necessary field, lab testing, and injection system monitoring to ensure optimization of treatment programs
  • Inputting data and documentation of day to day activities
  • Designing and troubleshooting of chemical pumps and injection systems
  • Building relationships with internal cross-functional teams and customers to ensure flawless delivery and execution of projects
  • Work with internal supply chain and external vendors to secure products at market prices. Negotiate rates with vendors leveraging full scale program
  • QC/QA results of all programs and conduct routine reviews on chemical program with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish treatment process across asset to standardize the way chemicals are applied through drilling, completions, production, and gathering activity.
  • Develop and implement new technologies and products to improve performance of treatment across assets.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in related field or expected equivalent in education/experience required 
  • Typically a minimum 5+ years oil & gas technician experience required
  • Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication, organization and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to work in a consultative manner with every level of staff
  • Ability to meet deadlines and advance multiple projects concurrently
