Job Summary
We are seeking a Chemical Batch Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for producing precious metal batches by following established formulas, monitoring processing conditions, and maintaining accurate production records. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manufacture precious metal batches according to established recipes and work orders.
- Measure and blend materials accurately while adhering to production specifications.
- Monitor and record temperatures, blending times, and cooking cycles throughout the process.
- Maintain detailed and accurate production documentation.
- Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform calculations related to batch quantities, measurements, and process parameters.
- Inspect materials and finished batches for quality and compliance.
- Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of direct batch-making experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
- Excellent documentation and recordkeeping abilities.
- Ability to follow detailed formulas, recipes, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and pilot plant environment.
