SUMMARY: This position encompasses all aspects of Certified Welder which can include any of the following: Panels, Tube assembly, Tunnel assembly, Cab assembly, walk assembly, repairs and rework may also be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to use hand tools.
Must be able to read weld/assembly blueprints.
Welds all subassemblies into completed components using correct welding processes.
Tack welds all subassemblies and components.
Prepares all related paperwork and closes work orders in MRP.
Self-inspection of work performed.
May be required to assist in training of new employees in classification.
Identifies and corrects problems.
Tracks problems and seeks solutions to them.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the potential to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or hire date prior to 5/10/96.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16”.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: May be required to have a forklift and crane licenses. Will be required to pass welding certifications.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic knowledge of Syteline, TeamCenter, and other programs as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to welding fumes, grinding dust, and weld arc. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
