Plant Supervisor
Shift: A-Shift (Monday - Thursday 4:30 pm - 3:00 am // Friday's as required // 45 Hour Minimum)
Salary Range: Annual - $70,000 - $80,000 (DOE)
Position Summary
The Shop Cell Supervisor is responsible for the daily leadership, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity of an assigned manufacturing cell. Reporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, this position ensures production goals are achieved while maintaining compliance with customer requirements, AS9100 standards, and company policies. The supervisor develops employees, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Safety
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture.
- Conduct daily safety observations and corrective actions.
- Ensure PPE and safety compliance.
- Lead incident investigations.
- Verify machine guarding and conduct 5S/FOD inspections.
Production
- Direct daily production activities.
- Meet production schedules.
- Balance manpower.
- Monitor OEE and labor efficiency.
- Coordinate with Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
Quality
- Maintain AS9100 compliance.
- Ensure adherence to SWIs.
- Monitor scrap and rework.
- Maintain traceability and calibrated gages.
- Lead containment and corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean initiatives and Kaizen events.
- Reduce waste.
- Improve cell layout and flow.
- Maintain visual KPI boards.
Employee Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and develop employees.
- Conduct daily shift meetings.
- Cross-train team members.
- Complete performance evaluations.
- Manage attendance and discipline.
Inventory & Materials
- Monitor WIP and FIFO.
- Coordinate material availability.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
Maintenance
- Verify operator PM completion.
- Coordinate equipment repairs.
- Monitor tooling condition.
Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct daily Tier Meeting
- Review safety metrics
- Review production schedule
- Review scrap
- Review on-time delivery
- Review past due orders
- Review earned hours
- Verify PM completion
- Verify 5S/FOD
- Update KPI boards
- Conduct Gemba walk

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years manufacturing experience
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- ERP experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- AS9100/aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
