BioTek, now a part of Agilent, is a market leader in detection and imaging instrumentation for life science and drug discovery research. We are recognized globally for our innovative product lines and excellent customer service. Our global customers include academic, government, and biotech/pharmaceutical companies. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join the BioTek Sales Team as a Field Sales Representative. The ideal individual will possess a unique combination of scientific education and experience with microplate and imaging instrumentation. He or she will be outgoing, confident, self-motivated, and results-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills. This individual will work well independently but will appreciate being part of a dynamic, growing sales team.


Primary responsibilities of the Sales Representative role include:

  • Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota for your designated territory.
  • Identify customers using supplied leads, local shows, and account management techniques.
  • Qualify all potential customers through needs analysis, budget, and purchase authority.
  • Perform demonstrations of instruments and software.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of the instruments including design, functionality, and operation.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of typical instrument applications.
  • Manage the assigned territory including record keeping and reporting, via Salesforce CRM.
