Job Overview:

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team in a Hybrid Shuttle role. This role will haul touch and no-touch freight along consistent local and shuttle routes depending on daily business needs.

Local loads involve hauling touch and no-touch freight within a 250-mile radius from our County Line warehouse.

Shuttle loads involve hauling no-touch freight between our North Alabama warehouses, all within a 15-mile radius. During shuttle shifts, drivers are expected to complete 8-13 drop and hook loads per shift.


Key Responsibilities

  • Meet daily load goals
  • Pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate and compliant logs
  • Vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
  • DOT compliance
  • Company policy compliance

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive motions (steering, clutch, etc.)
  • Regularly lifting up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a dolly
  • Maneuvering units down ramps from elevated heights
  • Climbing (into/out of truck cab and trailer)
  • Exposure to weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
  • Bending, kneeling, and squatting as needed and in tight spaces
  • Reaching overhead (setting up ramps)

Schedule

  • Home daily
  • Occasional Saturday may be needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid CDL A
  • 21+ years of age
  • At least 2 years of driving experience
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • Must pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug screening
  • Must not be in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Return-to-Duty (SAP) process

Compensation

  • $23 per hour for shuttle loads
  • $0.57 - $0.61 cpm (depending on experience) for local loads
