The CDL Industrial Services Technician is responsible for performing industrial cleaning, environmental services, waste handling, equipment operation, and site remediation activities at industrial facilities. This position requires the safe and efficient operation of light and heavy equipment, including vacuum systems, pumps, hydroblasting equipment, forklifts, man lifts, and other specialized industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, dependable, physically capable, and able to work effectively as part of a team in demanding industrial environments. This position provides opportunities for professional development and advancement into lead and supervisory roles.
Reports To: Regional Manager
Operate light and heavy industrial equipment, including but not limited to:
Vacuum equipment
Pumps
Hydroblasting equipment
Forklifts
Man lifts
Jackhammers
Other specialized industrial equipment
Perform industrial cleaning and environmental service activities, including:
Chemical and water spill cleanup
Tank cleaning
Boiler cleaning
Industrial equipment decontamination
Hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling
Other assigned site-cleanup activities
Safely operate and assist with vacuum and waste-removal equipment.
Perform required vehicle and equipment inspections, including Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
Conduct work in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing, bending, hoisting, and handling heavy materials.
Ensure equipment is operated properly and safely and immediately report mechanical failures, damage, or other equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working on customer sites and while wearing company uniforms.
Maintain a high level of responsiveness when assigned to on-call or emergency-response duties.

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to successfully complete a DOT medical examination.
Ability to pass required drug screening and criminal history/background checks.
Ability to successfully complete company-provided training, including:
40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER
Confined Space Entry (CSE)
Other required safety and equipment training
Ability to safely operate motor vehicles and industrial equipment.
Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
Industrial, environmental, construction, or related field experience preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed, typically within a four-hour driving distance.
The CDL Industrial Services Technician must be able to:
Perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
Lift and carry materials weighing approximately 50–75 pounds.
Stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, hoist, push, and pull for extended periods.
Climb ladders, scaffolding, tanks, vessels, and other industrial structures.
Work in confined spaces and areas with elevated noise levels.
Work in environments where exposure to chemical and physical hazards may occur, including potentially hazardous, toxic, or corrosive substances.
Properly wear and use respirators, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other required safety equipment.
Maintain a clean-shaven appearance when required for proper respirator fit and safe PPE use.
Work shifts that may exceed eight hours and, when necessary, extend to longer periods based on operational requirements.
Remain available for on-call and emergency-response assignments as required.
