Recycling Shop Hand / CDL Class A Driver

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado

Jennmar Services is hiring a dependable and hardworking Shop Hand / CDL Class A Driver to support our non-ferrous recycling operations. This position combines local driving with hands-on yard work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and operating equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class A trucks for local pick-ups and deliveries (home daily)
• Load and unload scrap materials using forklifts, loaders, or manual labor
• Sort and grade non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass, etc.)
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard
• Follow all DOT and safety regulations
• Assist with general shop and yard duties

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A License (required)
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT drug screen
• Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, outdoor work)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrap or recycling yard experience
• Roll-off, dump truck, or flatbed experience
• Equipment operation (forklift, skid steer, loader)
• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals
