Job Description

Overview/Responsibilities: 

·         Safety: Understand and follow all safety rules and ensure PPE is always worn; ensure good housekeeping in trailers. Comply with all DOTD LMI rules and regulations

·         Quality: Ensure product is delivered correctly and free of damage

·         Delivery: Ensure all appropriate product are delivered to the customer in good condition, accounted and signed for. Ensure on time delivery

·         Inventory: Make sure any damaged or mislabeled, missing or wrong product is report so inventory adjustments can be made, and customer can receive the correct product

·         Productivity: Meet shipping On Time Delivery requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

·         Read and interpret quantity on shipping tickets

·         Know how to properly identify product on tickets

·         Good organization and communication skills

·         Know how to safely operate a Tractor Truck with a 53” trailer

·         Knowledge of all DOT rules and regulations

·         Must be able to pass MVR Driving record check, and MCCI Clearinghouse application

·         Good communication skills and attitude, with customer, inside and outside Sales

·         Must be able to effectively use and manage ELD systems

What background will make you successful? 

·         You have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License 

·         You have your high school diploma or GED 

·         You have a safe driving record (MVR)

·         You are comfortable driving large vehicles on streets and freeways

·         You can measure using calipers and tape measures

·         You can lift up to 40 pounds

·         You are a team player

·         You are comfortable maintaining a physical workload

·         You can pass a DOT Physical
