About the Position

Our staffing agency is currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class B Driver for a full-time opportunity in Sodus, Michigan. This position is responsible for the safe transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites while supporting daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced commercial driver seeking consistent hours and competitive pay.

Essential Responsibilities

Safely operate CDL Class B vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites and locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
Load, secure, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and required documentation.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Assist with equipment setup, loading, unloading, and general labor tasks as needed.
Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and team members.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class B License required.
Clean driving record preferred.
Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screenings.
Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles throughout the day.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical labor as needed.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely load and secure materials and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

$24.00 per hour
Full-time schedule: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Weekly pay
