As a vital part of our operations, you will ensure the safe and efficient collection of waste while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to safety.
## Responsibilities
Operate a CDL B waste collection truck safely and efficiently.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
Collect and transport waste materials from residential and commercial locations.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal.
Maintain accurate records of routes, collections, and any incidents.
Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients and the public.
Assist with loading and unloading waste materials as needed.
Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Valid CDL B driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience in waste collection or driving heavy vehicles preferred.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
You should be proficient in:
- DOT Medical Card
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
- Current CDL License
