CDL-A Truck Driver (Local Routes) – Chattanooga, TN Area

We are hiring CDL-A Drivers for local driving opportunities with two established companies in the Chattanooga region. These positions offer home-daily routes, automatic transmission trucks, and a variety of local delivery and shuttle-driving responsibilities.

Position Overview

Drivers will safely operate CDL-A vehicles on local routes throughout Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia. Responsibilities may include shuttle runs between customer locations and company yards, as well as deliveries to retail locations. All routes allow drivers to return home daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A truck in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Transport trailers between customer facilities and company yards using automatic transmission equipment.
• Complete local delivery routes to designated locations throughout the region.
• Unload freight using pallet jacks and hand trucks when required.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and remain compliant with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and professional service at all delivery locations.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean driving record.

Route Information

• Local routes throughout Chattanooga, TN and surrounding areas.
• Travel may include Chattanooga, Decherd, Tullahoma, TN, and Chatsworth, GA.
• Home daily – no overnight travel required.
• Automatic transmission trucks provided.

Schedule

• Full-time opportunities available.
• Some routes operate on an on-call basis with variable hours.
• Other routes follow a rotating schedule with 5 workdays per week.
• Drivers must be available to work any day of the week as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Current DOT Medical Card required.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL-A driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
• Ability to use electronic logging systems.
• Ability to safely unload freight using a hand truck and pallet jack when required.
• No more than two serious offenses on driving record within the past three years.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
