Class A CDL Driver (Local Route) – Temp Full-Time
Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift
Start Time: 5:30 AM
Typical End Time: 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver for a temporary full-time local driving position. This is a non-OTR role offering a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule with the opportunity to be home every day.
Drivers will primarily transport manufactured pallets, lumber, and related materials utilizing a 53-foot flatbed trailer and Dry Van equipment, with occasional local deliveries using a 26-foot straight truck.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles and tractor-trailer combinations.
- Transport pallets, lumber, and related freight to customer locations.
- Inspect, secure, and verify loads prior to transportation.
- Complete local and regional deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Accurately complete driver logs, delivery paperwork, and required documentation.
- Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and transportation management regarding deliveries, delays, equipment concerns, or customer issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service.
- Safely operate a 26-foot straight truck as needed.
- Keep equipment clean and well-maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Previous commercial Class A driving experience.
- Experience operating 53-foot flatbed and Dry Van equipment.
- Knowledge of proper load securement practices.
- Safe driving record.
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Ability to perform and document vehicle inspections.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must meet all DOT driver qualification requirements.
- Must be able to pass required DOT drug and alcohol screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in the following areas are highly encouraged to apply:
- Hauling lumber, pallets, or building materials.
- Flatbed transportation and load securement.
- Regional delivery experience.
- Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement.
- Experience operating doubles.
You should be proficient in:
- DOT Medical Card
- Loading and Unloading Vehicles
- Truck Operations & Load Securement
- Current CDL License
