Come join our Indirect Procurement team sourcing IT and Professional Services globally for one of the world's largest semiconductor companies. Our mission is to bring sophisticated new technologies and related professional services into Micron from many industry-leading companies who serve as our suppliers. This is an exciting, fast-paced area that has a direct impact to Micron's success and frequently receives the attention of senior executives across the company. Collaboration—Collaborate with internal partners and external suppliers, crafting strategies to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain. As part of a team of supplier managers, you will have the chance to receive formal training and learn additional techniques from your peers that will enable you to develop additional procurement skills to secure the best value for Micron.

Sourcing—Source solutions and services that may include software, IT hardware, and various professional service offerings. You will work within established processes to conduct sourcing events and apply demand management.

Strategy—Play a significant role in our team's work to build category strategies to drive savings, value, assurance of supply, quality and supplier performance within your assigned category.

Negotiation—Take the lead in identifying and securing favorable terms with suppliers and coordinate with our Legal team to develop and finalize the resulting contracts. Your ability to drive alignment with team members and develop effective strategies will be critical for our success.

Management—Manage Micron’s relationship with multiple suppliers and be responsible for holding them accountable, resolving issues, and improving supplier performance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics or similar field of study
  • A strong interest in negotiation and willingness to engage in critical conversations and advocate for Micron's interests
  • Strong problem solving and critical reasoning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal partners, team members, and suppliers.
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic and at times ambiguous environment that requires frequent multitasking, prioritization, and a proactive mentality.

Preferences:

  • Prior experience in similar roles
