What You Will do in This Role:
Primary key performance indicators (KPIs): supplier operational performance (on-quality, on-time delivery), development of specific category/supplier KPI’s, and the creation of preferred supplier list and scorecards. The Category lead is responsible to ensure best practices in risk mitigation and contract adherence are followed in a compliant manner.
Other Key Primary responsibilities include:
Develop business partner relationships at all levels within the organization in serving functions
Ensure total best value in sourcing
Ensure compliance with KION (parent company) Procurement policy
Able to collaborate with the Global Indirect Procurement team participate in Global Sourcing Develop robust cost savings funnel and project manage initiatives until successful implementation
Actively pursue internal “voice-of-customer” and ensure perspectives are addressed in category approaches
Ensure competitive supplier panel (including sole/single source mitigation) is developed to support high business growth rates
Monitor supplier financial risk and take business-protecting proactive actions
Conduct supplier business reviews with forward-leaning agendas: technology, collaboration and overall competitiveness
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline
5+ years of relevant Procurement experience with emphasis on category management
Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM) (preferred)
Procurement experience with sourcing Indirect categories (HR, Legal, Travel and Marketing)
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong data analysis skills
Operates with minimal business direction
Driving business results through business case development, influence and leadership
Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP
