A role within Roundel is an opportunity to be part of a priority business for Target. Roundel is Target's retail media business, a sell-side business built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe environments, and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. We are here to accelerate a key growth initiative for Target and to lead the industry to a better way of operating.

As a Category Analytics Lead (CAL) on the Performance & Insights team, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and category authority for Baby and Home Care, owning the category-level insight agenda and acting as a strategic thought partner to performance & insights peers, sales teams, merchants, and other enterprise stakeholders. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy, advanced analytics, and influence, translating complex data into scalable insights that shape category direction, inform go-to-market decisions, and drive measurable performance outcomes.

This role requires deep category expertise, strong analytical rigor, and the ability to influence decisions without direct people leadership. This position reports to a Director, Performance & Insights. Core responsibilities of this job are described below. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • Minimum 7 years of proven digital media analytics, insights or consulting, marketing experience or equivalent experience engaging directly with clients including senior-level stakeholder engagement

  • Hands-on experience building and applying statistical and predictive models (e.g., regression, time-series, uplift/causal models, propensity/scoring, forecasting)

  • In-depth understanding of the digital media marketplace, including proven experience with incrementality and multi-touch attribution methodologies

  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and to influence decisions in a matrixed environment.

  • Methodical, well-organized, and detail-oriented with passion to drive results and thrive in an ambiguous environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced SQL experience writing complex queries and working with large transactional, media, and digital datasets

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Domo, Data Studio, Tableau)

  • Experience with web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Webtrends)

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
