Job Summary/Objective of Job
The Case Prep/Wash/Inspector is responsible for preparing, cleaning, and inspecting heavy-duty truck parts to ensure they meet quality standards before assembly or shipment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Preparation: Prepare parts for cleaning and inspection by removing any packaging, labels, or debris.
- Washing: Clean parts using pressure washers, solvents, and other cleaning equipment to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
- Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of parts to identify any defects, wear, or damage. Use measuring tools and visual inspection techniques to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Documentation: Record inspection results and maintain accurate records of cleaned and inspected parts.
- Quality Control: Report any defects or issues to the quality control team and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain cleaning and inspection tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in the heavy-duty truck parts industry.
- Knowledge of cleaning and inspection techniques and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
