Compensation: $50.73 - $50.73 per hour

Tessera is seeking a hardworking and experienced Carpenter Lead with a positive attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Delegate tasks and provide clear guidance to members of the Structures team, ensuring all work is accomplished safely and in compliance with industry standards and contractual requirements.
- Provide technical expertise with the Site Manager for in-house or subcontract accomplishment.
- Communicate and interact directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Assign, coordinate, and track technicians' work assignments as well as reviewing work orders, monitoring the safety and well-being of employees, and documenting completed assignments.
- Review completed work for quality, completeness, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair buildings, structures, and associated property.
- All carpentry work performed shall be consistent with the construction and appearance of the existing facility or structure, unless otherwise directed.
- Maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings and structures shall include all structural features such as foundations, walls, doors, doorstops, door closures, windows, roof framing, roofing, floors and floor coverings, porches, wood fencing and trim, stairs, fixtures, hardware, exterior and interior painting, and glazing.
- Maintain cable trolley systems and obstacle course apparatuses, and playground equipment
- Layout, install, replace, repair, and remove interior and exterior walls, floors, roofs, platform towers, steps, handrails, ceilings, and roofs.
- Interior and exterior finishes, trim, and decor shall be maintained to match or exceed existing appearance, and Carpentry work shall be planned and accomplished to offer maximum resistance to fungus, mildew, termites, water absorption, and all other deleterious effects of the environment.

- Assemble and secures furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Assist Quality Control and Safety departments in training and inspections as needed.
- Utilize mobile maintenance and inspection systems to maintain appropriate service and repair records and submit documents each day.
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
- Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used in the performance of duties.
- Conduct mold and asbestos testing and abatement as required.
- Must be able to operate various hand and power tools.
- Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to operate company-provided vehicles, trailers, and small equipment to include but not limited to lifts, generators, portable heaters, hoists, and pneumatic equipment.
- Must maintain and wear PPE as required.
Qualifications:
- Four (4) years of carpentry or construction experience preferred.
- Journeyman carpenter license preferred.
- Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts. Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
- You must have the ability and be willing to work outside of normal working hours, such as back shift and weekends, in the event of unplanned outages.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
