Carpenter

Location: New Haven County, CT

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join a growing construction team working on a variety of commercial, municipal, institutional, and renovation projects throughout Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial and renovation projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Perform framing, drywall, doors, hardware, trim, and other carpentry work
• Assist with renovations, alterations, and building improvements
• Measure, cut, and install various construction materials accurately
• Build, repair, and modify walls, ceilings, partitions, and other structures
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Assist with demolition and preparation of work areas as needed
• Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Identify potential issues in the field and communicate them to the supervisor

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional carpentry or commercial construction experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow specifications
• Commercial, institutional, or renovation experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
• OSHA/Safety training is a plus
