Job Overview:

Job Summary:

The Cargo Quality Control inspector ensures that all trailers meet the company standards and customer specifications through inspection of each trailer produced before it is shipped to our customer.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspect in-process and finished trailers to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.

  • Perform dimensional checks, weld inspections, paint finish evaluation, proper labeling, and functionality testing.

  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.

  • Identify and report defects or non-conformances to appropriate departments.

  • Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

  • Conduct audits throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures.

  • Assist in developing inspection procedures and quality checklists.

  • Must perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow all safety rules.

  • Experience with tools such as a tape measurer, drywall screw gun, and general hand tools.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

  • Understanding of trailer components, welding, and assembly processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good communication and problem solving skills.





Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods. 

  • Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, carry materials.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.

  • Must be able to work in indoor or outdoor environments.

  • May be exposed to welding, grinding, paint fumes, and machinery noise.
