Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage Capital Appropriation Requests approval process for Allison global capital expenditures.
  • Analyze capital expenditure data and complete monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc financial reporting for management as well as for Board of Directors and Investors Relations.
  • Coordinate inputs from the cross-functional organization to consolidate the global capital expenditure budget and monthly forecast, prepare reports, analyze variances, identify trends, and recommend actions.
  • Develop and present financial data to other members of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and projects and multi-task to meet reporting timelines.
  • Maintain capital expenditures process and procedures.
  • Review expenditures for determination of capital or expense treatment.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial close tasks.
  • Ensure proper cut-off for assets, liabilities, and expenses.
  • Prepare and review general ledger journal entries.
  • Backup other department personnel as needed, during planned and unplanned absences.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business with major in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, communication, and writing skills
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally on a team.
  • Highly proficient personal computer skills and technology driven

Preferred

  • Knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting as related to a public company
